Lamborghini exists because Enzo Ferrari told a wealthy tractor manufacturer to stick to farming. So he built his own supercar company instead.

Ferruccio Lamborghini made his fortune building tractors, and used some of it to buy several Ferraris — none of which he was entirely happy with. According to his own account, a heated meeting with Enzo Ferrari over a faulty clutch ended with Ferrari dismissing him outright, reportedly telling him he could drive a tractor but would never understand a proper sports car. Lamborghini's response was to found his own car company in 1963, hiring several engineers who'd recently left Ferrari, and unveiling his first car within months. Whatever era you look at since, the throughline never changes: drama, noise, and a shape designed to stop conversations.

That rivalry has played out generation after generation — the Miura against the Daytona, the Countach against the Testarossa, and the current hybrid V12 flagship still going toe-to-toe with Maranello's latest. Below are the models we've covered so far.
