Design & Engineering
At its heart sits a 1.6-litre turbocharged V6, directly descended from the engine powering Mercedes' Formula 1 cars, revving to a genuinely extraordinary 11,000rpm and supported by four separate electric motors for a combined output in the region of 1,000 horsepower. Two of those motors drive the front wheels independently for genuine torque vectoring, while a third integrates with the turbocharger to eliminate lag entirely — all technology drawn straight from the team responsible for Lewis Hamilton's championship-winning cars. Styling draws heavily on the Mercedes CLK GTR endurance racer, particularly around the front end and side profile, while the interior pairs genuine motorsport switchgear with a pair of 10-inch touchscreen displays for everyday usability.
Cultural Significance
The AMG ONE arrives as Mercedes' clearest statement of its Formula 1 success translating into road car credibility, following the team's dominant run through the V6 hybrid era. It sits alongside the McLaren P1 GTR and rivals like the Aston Martin Valkyrie — itself developed with F1 designer Adrian Newey — as part of a small handful of genuinely track-derived road hypercars rather than road cars simply styled to look the part.

With all 275 examples already allocated to existing Mercedes-AMG clients well before deliveries, the ONE commands significant premiums whenever an allocation changes hands.
