A Genuinely Distinctive Finding Worth Knowing — Mercedes-Benz C-Class Fog Lights

If a rear fog light appears not to be working on one side, this is genuinely worth knowing on many models: only one rear fog light is actually fitted, positioned on the driver's side only, rather than there being a matching pair — worth knowing this before assuming a bulb is missing or has failed on the opposite side, since there was never a bulb there to begin with on many of these models.

A genuinely important, distinctive finding worth knowing: a dedicated control module governs all the front lights on many of these vehicles, mounted within the fuse box but as a genuinely separate unit. If this module shorts or fails, normal practice is to replace both the fuse box and this control module together, since they're often integrated closely enough that replacing one without the other may not fully resolve the fault.
