Accuracy note: The Sharan 7N (2010–2022) uses the larger 315 mm case — UK type 100 / 110 — on the 2.0 TDI and 1.4 / 2.0 TSI: standard (77Ah / 780A, Varta E44) on non-stop-start cars, EFB (80Ah / 800A, Varta N80) or AGM (80Ah / 800A, Varta A6) on BlueMotion Technology stop-start cars. A 278 mm 096 AGM (70Ah / 760A) also fits some. Code the new battery after fitting. Check the three-digit type code, Ah and CCA printed on the battery you are removing before ordering — this model was built in more than one size. Stop-start cars must have an EFB or AGM battery, never a standard one.
