Before assuming every clunk or rattle can be permanently fixed, this is genuinely worth knowing: one documented case on a related model saw a dealer diagnose a persistent clunk as coming from a component of the brake assembly contacting the caliper — with the dealer explicitly stating this was simply how the car was designed, with no dampener fitted, and that "this car will clunk forever more." This is a genuinely honest admission worth knowing, since chasing complete, permanent silence on this specific noise may not be realistic.

A genuinely useful, harmless rattle worth ruling out first: a loud, "very agricultural" sounding rattle, particularly at idle, has been documented as commonly caused simply by the air filter intake pipe's retaining clip working loose — genuinely harmless to the engine, and a very cheap fix rather than anything more serious.

It's also worth knowing that a rattle traced specifically to the fuel pump area has been dismissed by at least one dealer as "normal," which several owners have found unconvincing — worth asking for a second opinion if you're facing a similar dismissal.

The Jogger shares its CMF-B platform and engines with the Dacia Sandero and Renault Clio, so it's worth checking parts listings under those car names too. As with most cars, several separate mounts (main engine mount, transmission mount, and torque strut) are fitted, each with its own part number that varies by engine and transmission type.

Dacia Jogger Engine Mount: What It Does

Engine mounts secure the engine and transmission to the chassis while absorbing vibration and movement, preventing that vibration from transferring directly into the cabin. Most versions of the Jogger use several mounts working together — typically at least one on each side of the engine plus a torque mount — and a single failed mount can throw off the whole assembly's balance.
