Vibration under braking gets blamed on warped discs more often than any other cause, but in the large majority of cases the discs haven't physically bent from heat at all. What's actually happening is Disc Thickness Variation (DTV) — uneven pad material deposits building up across the disc surface, often during the bedding-in period following a fresh fit — producing the same pulsing sensation as genuine warping. Bedding in new discs and pads gradually, rather than braking hard in the first few hundred miles, measurably reduces the risk of this developing, which matters more on a car like the Galaxy given its typical loaded weight under hard braking.
